Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CRO in implementation of Operational Risk (Ops risk) Framework within the bank.
  • Closely liaise with various departments – Compliance, finance and IT to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the Ops risk framework.
  • Prepare / update Ops risk policy, manuals and setting up of monitoring frameworks for Ops risk.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports including the Ops risk board pack.

 

Detailed responsibilities:

 Outsourcing

  • Create a tracker (a workflow tool or SharePoint) to ensure that items the Bank outsources in the future are done according to the policy the Bank has recently put in place.
  • Create a tracker (for those items already outsourced) to monitor the SLAs we have in place with our 3rdparty vendors.
  • Prepare a note to Board and to CBUAE – to seek approval for the existing ‘material’ outsourcing arrangements currently utilized by the Bank.

 RCSA

  • Identify the Process universe (identifying all processes in the bank) by liaising with departments for their submission and then prepare a note to Board for approval.
  • Update the Risk register of RCSAs by liaising with departments to obtain their proposed RCSAs and evaluate them
  • Need to assist some of the bank’s staff who have been assigned to oversee RCSAs for their department how to identify process risks or how to do required control testing.
  • Create a tracker for the annual testing plan for departments to follow in testing their controls over their risks
  • Prepare MI on RCSA and KRI.

BCP
